COVID-19 Response Recognition Award

This award was established by the government to recognise individuals and organisations who contributed to New Zealand’s frontline workforce COVID-19 response. It is awarded to organisations that contributed to New Zealand's COVID-19 response as part of the MIQ system, either as an active frontline organisation, a contracted supplier of services for MIQ, or an iwi partner or community group supporting people in the community.

During the response Jo (Employmetns Manager) and the Employment Team, at the request of MSD, administered a Care in the Community fund to support households required to isolate. This fund required the support of staff from throughout the entire orgnaisation and it is for this reason we have recieved government recognition. However, the award also recognises the efforts of staff to support students and clients during lockdowns and with their transition to life post the Covid-19 response.
