HLC Cookery Students host the Menz Shed

HLC and the Menz Shed recently got together with the aim of enhancing inter-generational partnerships in the Horowhenua.

Some of our Cookery students spent a very enjoyable afternoon/evening making recipes from the upcoming 2018 Taste Trail Horowhenua with the men from the Menz Shed. The recipes were filmed for promotional purposes. It was a great afternoon and many stories and skills were shared. As our CEO - Patrick Rennell said “This community interaction is invaluable for our students. It provides an opportunity for them to step outside their peer group and collaborate with people from a different generation”.

To expand upon this, we invite you to come and join us at 152 Bath Street for a coffee and to experience HLC first hand.
