This programme is intended for learners who wish to work in the horticulture industry and who want to develop knowledge and skills of growing systems and practices.
The Level 3 programme would suit graduates of the Introduction to Horticulture Level 2 programme, those currently seeking employment or a learner wishing to upskill to a higher-level role such as Horticulture Assistant or Field Manager.
Entry Requirements
NCEA Level 1 or equivalent Ideal for graduates of the NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Skills – Introduction to Horticulture Level 2
Qualifications
On successful completion of the course students will receive: NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Skills - Introduction to Horticulture Level 3

The Government has announced that Fees Free for the first year of study or training will finish at the end of 2024. A final-year Fees Free policy will replace it, starting from 1 January 2025
If you are a first-time tertiary learner in 2025, you may be able to get Fees Free for your final year of study or training. If you are eligible, you will need to apply for your entitlement through IRD from 2026 onwards
