Success with Students who have transitioned from ESiS to HLC/LTTM

Employment Services In Schools works with students in their last 2 years of high school.  Devon Easton, from HLC works with these students, colleges and their families to navigate their employment, educational and post school pathway.  Work experience is offered to give the students new skills, opportunities and knowledge to assist them in their decision making.  It teaches good work ethic, teamwork and allows the students to understand and give back to their own community.

Andy Fennelly-Preuss was a high school student Devon worked with at Horowhenua College, who has chosen to come to HLC and complete the Certificate in Hospitality Training. This is a great outcome for the student and the beginning of his next journey in life.

Devon has made a huge impact in the colleges and many students have had experiences outside their comfort zone that have proved to be valuable and often unexpectedly awesome.
