The National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care will give you a solid grounding in all aspects of early childhood education.

HLC in partnership with UCOL's National Certificate in Early Childhood Education & Care is a one semester full-time programme that covers health, safety and nutrition; caring for young children; development and learning; and how to develop educational programmes for infants, toddlers and young children.
As part of this early childhood education programme you will take on a practicum placement in an early childhood setting to put your learning into practice.
On successful completion of the course students will receive:
- National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care Level 3
- First Aid Certificate

Intake 2 - 24 July 2017 - 8 December 2017
The course content will include:
- Fundamentals of Early Childhood
- Caring for Young Children
- Development and Learning
This programme has open entry but placement in work experience is pursuant to the student's criminal history being clear of any matter which might question their suitability for employment in the early childhood area.
Where to from here?
On successful completion of this programme graduates will be qualified to work in Early Childhood Centres, Home-based Childcare settings or staircase to further study.
